how to start krymeet-server

Open "Conections" on the main menu
and select "Init Server".

Select port (by default it's 19.000)
and click on "Init Server".

how to interpret the information panel

On the top window you can see all the incoming conections and the data sent by any of the users.



On the bottom window you can monitor all the commands typed by any of the users.

how to connect to the server

Open "conections" on the Main Menu and select "Conect"

Fill in the connection form and click on "Login". If you don't have a server account enter as a guest

You are now connected and your nick is visible on the "reception room" user list

how to talk to the current room

Just write your message and press "enter"

What is the teletype

The "TeleType" is a news digital machine used to publish short news up to three lines. News are arranged by subject and it's possible to choose if you want to receive all kinds of news or just one or more kinds of news.

how to open the teletype

Open "TeleType" on the Main Menu and select "Open TeleType"

Now the TeleType is opened and ready to publish the news you received

how to public a story

Open "TeleType" on the main menu and select "Public a story".

Fill in the Form with your story. The news you post must not exceed three lines.

how to change your nick

There are two ways of changing your nick

1) Opening the "Commands" menu to select the "(change) nick" option.

2) Entering the command  "/nick <new_nick>" at the chat prompt

how to identify yourself in a room

There are two ways to do so

1) Opening the "Commands" menu to select the "who (in a channel)" option.

2) Entering the command "/who <room_name>" at the chat prompt

how to identify any user

There are two ways to do so

1) Opening the "Commands" menu to select the "whois (a user)" option.

 2) Entering the command  "/whois <user_name>" at the chat prompt

how to call a user
